Description
This teamwear jacket from Leyton House comes in the team's iconic color and features a utilitarian design with front pockets and epaulettes. This jacket has a strong 90s feel to it thanks to the above-wasit cut which will give your outfits (or your collection) a retro flair.
Leyton House had been a primary sponsor for the March F1 team before their chairman, Akira Akagi, bought the team at the end of 1989 and entered Leyton House as a consructor in 1990 and 1991 (similair to how RedBull bought Jaguar ahead of the the 2005 F1 season). In two years, the team became iconic for its bold teal blue livery and for the fact that they were the first team Adrian Newey worked for in Formula 1, he designed the CG901 which scored a second place finish at the French Grand Prix with Ivan Capelli at the wheel in 1990.
Interesting Fact: Leyton House was a Japanese real estate company which Akira Akagi advertised in Formula 1 as part of a marketing exercise.
