Details

Celebrate one of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team's landmark cars with this wonderful 1:8 scale model of the Ferrari 312 F1-68, the first F1 car from Maranello and in the sport to be fitted with wings.

Description

This diecast model features all of the cars technical specifications, from the shape of the nose cone, to the suspension build, the details of the engine, the rear wing and more whilst being mounted to a clean, elegant black base.

The car itself has also been detailed with the correct paint scheme, colours and sponsorship decals for the real car from the 1968 season.

History

This beautiful car made its world championship debut at the fourth round of the Formula 1 season, at the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps and immediately was an improvement on its predecessor (which ran without a wing). Chris Amon went on to take the team's second pole position of the season and Jacky Ickx would go on to take third place in the cars first race.

The 312 F1-68 was a trend setter, soon other Formula 1 teams began to adopt wings onto their cars before a terrible accident at the Spanish Grand Prix briefly banned the use of wings until their reintroduction to the sport with greater restrictions.

This wonderful model can be yours today! Don't squander the opportunity.
