Vettel’s Formula 1 helmets have all been Arais and have been painted by Jens Munser Designs (JMD) - For the Singapore Grand Prix, the helmet design was designed to be as reflective and to give off a sparkle effect. The helmet has been tinted with gold and sliver which has also been finished in a chrome affect.

Description

The 2010 Singapore Grand Prix would go down as one of the most entertaining races of the season, and also in the street race’s history. Vettel and Alonso went head-to-head in both qualifying and the race. Alonso would start on pole position after setting a lap time that was just six hundredths of a second quicker than Vettel but the German wouldn’t give up and pushed Alonso all the way to the end of the race. At the chequered flag, Vettel finished second, just two tenths off the Ferrari driver (this is still the closest finish in the Singapore GP’s history).

Vettel would have the last laugh though and take his first Formula 1 World Drivers’ title at the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
