What better way to celebrate Fernando Alonso’s Formula 1 career than with this intricately designed and detailed 1:6 scale model of the Renault R25 that took the Spaniard to his first world title in 2005. 

Description

Built with an incredible attention to detail, this model incorporates all of the team’s branding, technical features such as the highly attractive ‘shark gills’ located over the engine bay and comes mounted on a sporty carbon fibre style mount with a perfectly clear glass cover.

History

With seven race wins, three in the first four races, and a total of 14 podiums from 18 races, Alonso successfully fended off the challenge from McLaren driver Kimi Raikkonen, who became the Renault driver’s closest challenger over the course of the season, to become (at the time) the youngest world champion in Formula 1 history.

The Renault R25 Formula 1 car was also the last of its kind. The R25 was fitted with a monstrous 3-litre V10 engine that produced nearly 1000 brake horsepower.
