Canadian motorsport fans we have something very special for you, Lance Stroll’s 2017 race used Bell KC7 Grand Prix helmet.

Description

The Canadian has always had his Formula 1 helmets designed in a way to match his Formula 1 cars livery. Stroll’s first Formula 1 helmet was painted by Lucky Designs, a company that has a number of other high profile F1 drivers to their name, and has been finished in a midnight blue paint scheme with silver chrome detailing and his initials L S on the side of the helmet.

To finish off the helmet design, the team’s branding, including the famous Martini stripe around the halo of the helmet, and the team’s additional sponsor decals such as JCB and Oris, are featured.

History

After becoming the first Canadian to win the International Formula 3 championship with 14 victories and 20 podium finishes, Stroll graduated to Formula 1, bypassing the traditional feeder series’ such as Formula 2 and GP3. Stroll was partnered alongside 15 season long veteran, Felipe Massa at the Martini branded Grove based team.

Stroll endured a difficult pre-season testing program in Barcelona, suffering an accident on day two, but managed an incredible podium finish in just his eighth Formula 1 start at the 2018 European Grand Prix on the city streets of Baku. The Canadian’s 3rd place finish was nearly second, but he was pipped at the line by Valtteri Bottas in the Williams. Nevertheless, the Canadian made history by becoming the youngest rookie to appear on the Formula 1 podium.

The Williams F1 rookie also secured his first front row start at that year’s Italian Grand Prix in   treacherous wet weather conditions and also set a new record for being the youngest driver in F1 history to start in the top two.
