Jean Alesi 2001 Signed Helmet
Team: Prost Grand Prix
Driver Status: Race Driver
Homologation #: SA 379449
Alesi’s classic F1 helmet was changed slightly for 2000 as the traditional white background was swapped for a smooth chrome finish, but the basic design of black, red and blue remained.
This Bieffe crash helmet is finished with the Prost Grand Prix team’s Gauloises and Ray Ban branding along with some battle scars from the gruelling world of Grand Prix racing. With the Grand Prix winner’s signature on the back of the helmet, this is a real collectors piece and shouldn’t be missed out on.
2001 would mark the final season of Jean Alesi’s F1 career and the Frenchman remained with the Prost Grand Prix team for the first half of the season before dissolving his contract with Alain Prostin a mutual agreement, so that the F1 veteran could race for Eddie Jordan’s Jordan Grand Prix team for the final five races.
The highlights of Jean Alesi’s season came at the Monaco Grand Prix when the French driver managed to score a points finish taking sixth place, and at the following round in Canada, the veteran managed to score a fantastic fifth place. In the end, Alesi’s two points finishes would be the only time a Prost GP car finished in the points all year.
