Jarno Trulli 2001 Signed Helmet

This is a very unique race helmet, Jarno Trulli’s special Pledge for Peace helmet used during the 2001 United States Grand Prix at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Description

Following the tragic events of 9-11, the United States Grand Prix was the first major sporting event to run in the country. As a result, many of the drivers sported special tribute helmets for the Grand Prix, including Jarno Trulli.

Trulli’s original helmet colours of the Italian tricolour were replaced with a reflective chrome base and the USA flag with the phrase “Peace No War” on the back of the helmet.

The former Jordan Grand Prix star has also added his signature to this incredibly special helmet, turning the Bieffe helmet from the United States Grand Prix into a one of a kind collectors item.

History

Only two original helmets were ever produced, one was given to Major Guiliani to be auctioned for the twin towers disaster fund whilst the other is still in the Italian driver’s possession. Both helmets were used over the course of the Grand Prix, and we proud to say that this is one of the two.

The Italian had a superb race, finishing in 4^th place after starting from 8^th position and equalling his best result of the season from the Spanish Grand Prix.
