Celebrate the iconic and remarkable career of racing driver and Paralympic athlete, Alex Zanardi with this special race used Simpson helmet from the Italian driver’s 1991 racing season.

1991 saw Alex Zanardi make his Formula 1 debut, replacing Roberto Moreno at Jordan Grand Prix for the final three races. He finished in ninth place on two occasions - in Jerez (Spain) and Adelaide (Australia). Prior to his Jordan debut the Italian had also been racing in F3000 and had been testing with the Footwork Formula 1 team.

History

Zanardi would go on to have an incredible racing career in the 1990’s making not only strong Formula 1 appearances with teams such as Williams, but also enjoying title winning success in the CART championship in the United States with back-to-back driver’s titles in 1996 and 1997.

Battle scarred with chips and dents, this genuine race used helmet incorporates both Alex Zanardi’s helmet design featuring his traditional colours of grey, blue and white, as well as tobacco branding from Marlboro and Fil-Pemto.
