Rejoice in the incredible career of Britain’s most successful Formula 1 driver and recently knighted, Lewis Hamilton with one of his Puma racing suits from the world champion’s 2019 season.

Description

Throughout 2019, Hamilton and his teammate Valtteri Bottas alternated between different designs of race suits. The suit above features all of the original Petronas and Mercedes AMG team's branding which was used throughout the season, with the addition of "The Ritz-Carlton" branding across the chest. This suit style was used at the season finale in Abu Dhabi which Lewis Hamilton won. It would be his 11th win of the season and the first since claiming his 6th world title two races earlier in Austin, Texas.

Hamilton’s Mercedes AMG Petronas suit is manufactured by the PUMA sports company and is designed to meet Hamilton’s requirements, including a small slit on the chest for the radio lead and is designed to meet the FIA’s regulations whilst being as light weight and comfortable as possible.

History

Lewis Hamilton entered the 2019 Formula 1 season as a five-time world champion after taking 11 victories in 2018. The British driver took another 11 wins the following season and would go on to take the world drivers’ title in the United States Grand Prix. The British driver’s sixth world championship helped him to statically become the second most successful driver in the history of the sport bby the end of 2019.
