1985 Philippe Streiff Suit

Team: Ligier F1
Driver Status: Race Driver
Championship: 1985 World Championship

This is a unique chance to own an incredible race worn suit from French Formula 1 driver Philippe Streiff’s Formula 1 1985 season.

This race suit is fitted with the team’s sponsors includes the iconic blue colouring from the Ligier car.

This set of overalls is from Streiff’s first full time season with the Ligier Candy F1
team and his second in Formula 1. The French rising star was drafted in by the team
to replace Andre de Casaris for the final few Grand Prix’s in 1985 and was rewarded
with a full time drive for the following season. The highlight of his career came at the Australian Grand Prix that year, where he was able to limp his badly damaged Ligier (after making contact with his teammate Jacque Laffite) over the line to take third place. It would be the only podium of his career.

Streiff moved to AGS motorsport for 1987 but unfortunately his career would come to an end after a massive crash during the 1989 pre-season test in Rio de Janeiro left his paralysed.
